Dekker likes to play in the kitchen while one of us is cooking. Last night, Stef was working late, so I had kitchen duty. Dekker also has an interesting concept of ‘toys’. We buy him toys, his grandparents buy him toys – the kid has toys. Yet, he finds other items that are not toys, incredibly fascinating. For the most part, this usually includes the tupperware drawer, the mixing bowl cupboard, and the spice door. His favorite thing to do, and admittedly my favorite to watch, is pulling each individual spice container out and stacking them. He claps after each successful stack operation. I need to capture a clear photo of each element of this activity. Its too awesome not to.
